We are a busy church, with lots of programs, events, and opportunities to get involved. Everything you see here is open to all interested persons. Whether you are a long-time member or a new visitor, you are welcome. Explore the programs and find a place to connect, grow, and serve. You can find information about many upcoming events in our weekly electronic newsletter, the Kairos. And you can sign up for one of these groups through the Group Finder at the bottom of this page.
On the first and third Wednesday nights of each month, we gather at the church, sometimes for fellowship, sometimes for spiritual deepening and worship, other times to learn something new. It is a great way to connect to our community outside of Sunday morning, make new friends, and find spiritual nourishment in the midst of your week.
· We have food & childcare!
· We gather at 5:15 pm with dinner, activity at 6 pm.
· Food is $5 each & children under 12 free
Pay with cash or check at the event, or ahead on the church website by clicking on the donate button. Please add any food allergies or needs in the comments so we can accommodate you.
We hope you will choose to join us! Please check the sign-up, below, for upcoming programs. You may sign-up anytime by following the link below:
Wednesday, December 21: Yule Feast & Ritual
We will kick off our celebration with a soup and bread feast. Then, members of the White Oak Grove CUUPs group will share some basic information about Yule and then lead us in a Yule ritual. After the ritual, we will share a cookie and cocoa feast and continue the celebration.
Spirit Journey Groups
The heart of our small group ministry are Spirit Journey Groups. They are an opportunity for members to make connections with others, to grow in their spiritual journey, and have fun. Each group of eight to twelve people is led by a trained facilitator. Each group meets for a monthly session over a nine month period, and their discussions dig more deeply into the church's monthly theme.
We hope you will choose to join us! Each month, participants are asked to study and reflect on the monthly themes, guided by a packet full of materials. All the information on Spirit Journey Groups is found here. You can sign up below.
Humanist Discussion Group
Join Unitarian Universalist and others for a “Humanist Discussion Group.” We’ll talk about ideas, including the state and future of humanism, humanist ethics in a multi-religious world, justice, and science. Humanism, the celebration of human beings and a commitment to the welfare of all people, without supernaturalism, is a core tradition of Unitarian Universalism. Please do invite to this conversation others you think might enjoy and learn from our dialogue. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at noon in Deale Hall. Sign up below to get the reminders and any materials.
We also have a group of existing Covenant Groups, which are on-going. Our Covenant Groups use topics developed by our minister, lay people, and those collected and edited by/from other Unitarian Universalist ministers and sources. Our groups also use topics from the Unitarian Universalist Small Group Ministry Network and some are focusing on the church's monthly theme. Some groups have room - you can sign up below.

For more than twenty five years, groups of intrepid individuals have scheduled a monthly walk—usually after church on the second Sunday of the month—in a beautiful park or conservation area. We walk at a relaxed pace, for about an hour to an hour and a half. We enjoy birds, wildflowers, and each other’s company. Come with us! We announce each Ramble in Kairos and would be happy to have you join. For more details or to be added to our email list, contact group leader Francie Barnes at email@example.com, or sign up below.

The choir is the centerpiece of music at the church. The group is led by Music Director Tim Anderson. The Unicantors sing almost every Sunday at the morning worship service. Rehearsals are on Thursday nights from 7:00 to 8:30, with a warm-up rehearsal on Sunday mornings. The choir welcomes new voices at any time, especially in the fall. The most important qualification is that you like to sing! Please contact Tim at email@example.com if you are interested or sign up below.
