Picture Book
World Religion

1st & 2nd Grade

The goal of this curriculum is to introduce world religions through stories and allow young children to explore the differences and similarities to their own lives. There are beautiful picture books which introduce young children to Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism in a gentle and respectful way. These books teach about world religions by telling a story. The stories illustrate concepts such as the value of wisdom and loyalty in Hinduism, the importance of family in Islam, and the practice of compassion for all living beings in Buddhism.

OWL-Our Whole Lives

Our Whole Lives is a series of sexuality education curricula for six age groups: grades K-1, grades 4-6, grades 7-9, grades 10-12, young adults (ages 18-35), and adults. Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, Our Whole Lives provides not only facts about anatomy and human development, but helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality.

Love Connects Us

3rd-5th Grade

Love Connects Us celebrates important ways Unitarian Universalists live our faith in covenanted community. Moved by love and gathered in spirit, we embrace our responsibility toward one another and the world at large. We encourage one another's search for truth and meaning. We strive to be active in peace-making and other efforts to improve our world.

Neighboring Faiths

Middle School

This year long curriculum helps youth learn about their own Faith and other faith traditions through interactive experience such as field trips and interviews. These encounters with other religions are given meaning through periods of reflection and discussion about Unitarian Universalist and personal beliefs and values.

Youth Group Ministry

Senior High

Youth meet every Sunday with one of four Youth Advisors who leads them in small group discussion on a variety of topics. Youth are also encouraged to participate in self-governance and leadership, social justice and service projects, multigenerational services and events, and congregational committees. Youth are involved in planning their own social events within the Church and for District wide events such as Youth Conventions.
