UU Marketplace
In November we hold our fall fundraiser, the UU Marketplace at which participants have the opportunity to purchase services and goods provided by other members of the congregation. Members can purchase themed dinners, outdoor adventures, clean-up services, baked goods, tutoring, and much more.

Trash & Treasure
The T&T Sale, which is held in March, is not only a major fund-raiser, but one of the major participatory events of the year. More than 150 people spend the week before the sale bringing and sorting rummage to the church, which is transformed into an emporium.

Cinco de Mayo
Early in May the Activities Committee will host the celebration of the traditional Mexican Cinco de Mayo festival with tacos, a pinãta, and games for the whole family.

All church Picnic
On the last Sunday of the regular church year, the Church Activities Committee sponsors a potluck picnic following the Sunday Service. It is anticipated that again this year we will gather at a shelter at Aldeen Park.

Young Adults Group
The young adults group is made up of individuals from all walks of life who are usually between the ages of 18-35. We are an age sensitive group, but we are not age exclusive. The YA group meets 2 times a month after coffee hour for social, fellowship, or community service activities. For more information about our dynamic group or to be included on our list serve, please contact the church or Davina Novoselac at beadenergy@yahoo.com

Very Special People
VSP is our monthly luncheon group of people 55 and over. A modestly priced lunch is served and an informative or entertaining program follows. Meetings are held at 12:30 on the first Friday of each month. Check the Kairos for meeting dates and programs.

Ramblers
The Ramblers is a group which meets monthly at the church for an after-the- service outdoor walk of 1-2 hours. Occasional longer excursions are scheduled on Saturdays.

Covenant Groups
Covenant groups meet together on a regular basis to develop relationships, discuss topics of common interest, and perform service to the church and/or community. At this time there are ten groups and all meet in members' homes. If you would like more information about covenant groups or are interested in joining one please call Dave Weissbard at the church.

Countryman Circle
A group of women from the church meets on the fourth Monday of each month from September through June, except December and May, for a social lunch in the Connolly Library. The Circle’s main activity is sponsorship of the annual All Daughters’ Banquet.

SagE-ing
This group of women over 55 meets in the Connolly Library monthly for a brown bag lunch and discussion of issues encountered in aging and in their lives.

Men’s retreat
All men in the church are invited to participate in the annual Men’s Retreat, held at the George Williams Campus on Lake Geneva on the last weekend in February. It offers an opportunity for fun, games, food, relaxation, and informal conversation, as well as a formal program that varies from year to year.

Women’s Retreat
All women in the church are offered an opportunity to connect with the true essence of UU women at the annual Women’s Retreat at the George Williams Campus at Lake Geneva in the spring. Workshops specific to a theme are offered, as well as art projects and nightly gatherings at which strengths are shared in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
